The Story Behind Mya Lov
For over 20 years, creativity has been part of my work as a nail technician. What has always mattered most to me is how something created with care can make a person feel.
That same love of creating eventually grew into handmade accessories and small treasures, each made with intention.
My understanding of resonance began with three Buddha statues I received when I opened my first nail salon. Because they represented abundance, prosperity, wealth, and happiness, I believed they were meant to bring those things into my life.
When the salon closed, I felt I had not received what the statues represented, so my father-in-law kept them for nearly ten years.
Years later, as I prepared to close my second salon because it no longer aligned with the life I wanted, he unexpectedly returned the statues without knowing about my decision.
Their return made me reflect on what I had experienced.
During one of the salon’s slowest seasons, I learned to remain calm even when the chairs were empty. I realized I could still support myself, continue creating, and be happy without everything appearing abundant from the outside.
That was when I understood.
The statues were never meant to give me abundance. They helped me recognize the abundance, strength, and steadiness I had already learned to create within myself.
That realization became the heart of MyaLov.
I began creating each piece with that same understanding: what we feel drawn to can reflect something already living within us.
My creations are not meant to fill what is missing. They are designed to reflect and amplify what already exists within you.
When you feel connected to a piece, it may be more than simply liking how it looks.
It may be recognition.
It may be resonance.
MyaLov is where energy, art, and intention come together in everyday life.
I’m so happy you’re here.
With love,
Maya 💜
